Overview

MSC Technology Italy is the division supporting MSC Group’s digital strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity to join MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, the global leader in maritime shipping, and play a key role in supporting MSC’s strategy for digitalization and business growth. The Quality Assurance Automation Expert will be part of the Quality Assurance Automation (QAA) team within the Enterprise Data Management & Analytics stream. The team is agile and global, delivering an interconnected data platform to serve business users and products across domains.

Responsibilities

- Create test scripts, assess system functionality, and ensure software quality in cloud environments.
- Understand and apply CI/CD pipelines for automated testing integration into the development workflow (unit, smoke, no-regression, integration tests).
- Assess the scalability and responsiveness of cloud applications (performance/stress testing).
- Apply security testing principles to identify and address vulnerabilities in cloud-based systems.
- Document testing approach, scenarios, tests performed and results.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues promptly.
- Comply with MSC testing rules and policies.
- Act as a focal point to manage the release management process.

Qualifications and Experience

Required:





- Experience as a tester in a structured team.
- Development experience and background.
- Proficiency in testing tools, scripting languages, and cloud platforms.
- Experience with Python to create tools supporting testing activities and metrics retrieval.
- Hands-on knowledge of API testing tools and platforms such as Postman, Insomnia, JMeter, Blazemeter.
- Working knowledge of version control systems (Git).
- Knowledge of SQL and possibly other query languages (e.g., KQL).
- A degree in IT or computer science.

Preferred:

- Experience with Platform as a Service on Azure.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Agile SCRUM.
