Join our team and start your journey today! /p pWe are seeking an experienced bEmbedded Software Engineer /b to join our Engineering team. This role focuses on the design, development, and validation of software for embedded Linux environments, with a strong emphasis on code reliability, scalability, and reusability. The Embedded Software Engineer will contribute to the development of programmable electronic controllers used in a variety of industrial applications and will collaborate closely with international engineering teams to deliver high-quality embedded solutions. /p pThis job is based in bBelluno, Italy /b, and regular on-site presence is required. /p h3bSalary: €40,000 - €45,000 gross annual salary, depending on experience and qualifications. /b /h3 h3bKey Responsibilities of the Role /b /h3 ul liDevelop, document, test, and maintain software applications for embedded Linux environments. /li liParticipate actively in code reviews and contribute to software design and architecture discussions. /li liImprove and support continuous integration (CI) processes to increase build efficiency and deployment automation. /li liCollaborate with global engineering teams to troubleshoot issues, perform debugging activities, and improve software performance. /li liContribute to the architecture and design of new embedded products and software platforms. /li liImplement reliable, reusable, and maintainable software solutions following software development best practices. /li liSupport the integration of software with internally developed hardware platforms and programmable controllers. /li liTranslate business and technical requirements into effective software solutions. /li liPrepare technical documentation, design specifications, and validation records.
/li liSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to software development processes, tools, and product innovation. /li /ul h3bRequired Skills and Qualifications /b /h3 ul liBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. /li liStrong knowledge of the C programming language and embedded software development principles. /li liExperience developing software in Linux embedded environments. /li liKnowledge of multithreaded programming and inter-process communication (IPC). /li liUnderstanding of Linux kernel architecture and device drivers. /li liExperience working with Git version control systems. /li liAbility to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions and software designs. /li liFamiliarity with cybersecurity concepts and secure software development practices. /li liStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. /li liGood communication and teamwork skills. /li liAdvanced English language skills (written and verbal). /li /ul h3bPreferred Skills and Qualifications /b /h3 ul liExperience with embedded Linux distributions such as Yocto or Buildroot. /li liKnowledge of Rust programming language. /li liExperience with the Zephyr Project or other real-time operating systems. /li liKnowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, MQTT, or similar. /li liExperience contributing to software architecture decisions for embedded products. /li liAbility to work effectively in an international and distributed development environment. /li liProactive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to continuously develop technical competencies. /li /ul pbAbout the location: /b /p pCopeland Controls is a global leader in high-quality products and services, distributed and supported across more than 70 countries by a network of skilled and knowledgeable professionals. /p pOur Belluno (Italy) manufacturing site employs over 200 dedicated team members who provide exceptional training, hospitality, and customer service, ensuring the correct selection of controllers and efficient after-sales support.
