ph3Trieste Safety Plan Approval Engineer /h3 pPosting Date: 27 Aug 2026 /p pCity: Trieste /p pLocation: Trieste, IT, 34135 /p pContract Type: Permanent /p pDivision: Mediterranean and Africa Marine /p pLevel of experience: Junior /p pRINA is currently recruiting for a bTrieste Safety Plan Approval Engineer /b to join its office in Trieste, Italy within thebMediterranean and Africa Marine /b Division. /p h3Mission /h3 pThis role focuses on supporting the elaboration of detailed plan and design reviews, resolving issues related to conflicting design requirements, ensuring client requirements and applicable standards are met.Projects could include the approval of new building, conversion, and existing vessels and yachts. /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 ul liReview and approve drawings of safety, fire protection for ships and offshore units, on the basis of the assigned tasks. /li liReview and approve drawings of lifesaving appliances and navigation lights for ships and offshore units, on the basis of the assigned tasks. /li liActivities relevant to drawing approval for the issue of certificates for marine equipment for MED Directive and RINA Type Approval. /li liVerification of the compliance with Class Rules and Statutory Regulations (e.g. SOLAS Convention, COLREG Convention, National Flag requirements) for new buildings, ships in service, and ship’s conversions. /li liAssist clients providing guidance and support related to safety, fire protection, and lifesaving equipment. #LI-MP3 /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul liUnderstanding of maritime safety regulations (SOLAS, IMO) and their application in the approval of safety plans for ships. /li liEvaluate safety plans based on safety standards and regulations, ensuring proper implementation on ships. /li liKnowledge of various safety systems on ships, including fire safety systems, life-saving appliances,
and emergency evacuation procedures. /li liKnowledge of the process of approving safety documentation for ships, including evaluating compliance with maritime safety regulations and recommending improvements. /li liAbility to work closely with senior engineers and other stakeholders, providing support to ensure the safety plan approval process runs smoothly. /li liCommunication and reporting skills provide recommendations for safety improvements in compliance with regulations. /li /ul h3Education /h3 pMaster’s Degree in Naval Engineering /p h3Compensation Data /h3 pThe salary range and job grade for this position are defined based on objective, role-related criteria and responsibilities in accordance with CCNL RINA (CNEL code I480). /p pThe gross annual salary range foreseen is between € 30.000 and € 36.000 and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role. /p pIn addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements. /p pThe overall compensation package is complemented by the Company's welfare. /p pRINA is a multinational company providing a wide range of services in the energy, marine, certification, infrastructure mobility, industry, research development sectors.
