The ideal candidate will have interest and knowledge in practicing the Reggio Emilia approach, the International Baccalaureate (IB) Early Years and familiarity in an English Language Immersion environment. Applicants should be strong team players, very proactive and flexible. /p pSolutions-oriented thinkers, strong communicators and curious learners will thrive in La Scuola’s diverse and dynamic environment. /p pThis role is tempo determinato and the Assistant Teacher will support and implement the daily program in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the School under the supervision and direction of the Vice Principal / Deputy Head of School /p h3Role Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



/h3 ul liEnsure students are joyfully and safely engaged in classroom activities and outdoor play during the school day and during daily Extended Care program /li liSupport head teacher(s) and specialists with overall classroom management and supervision; /li liCollaborate with the teaching team to work with children in small groups and individually, and to plan and implement lessons; /li liGuide student behavior patiently and supportively; provide age-appropriate social-emotional instruction and support to students; /li liOrganize and set up the classroom environment, equipment, materials for nap, games, art, crafts, science, and outdoor activities; /li liManage children and systems during nap, play, class, lunch, outdoor time; /li liCommunicate observations and insights to Head Teacher(s); support weekly classroom documentation; /li liMaintain an encouraging and positive attitude with students and colleagues. /li liAssist with snack preparation and cleanup as needed. /li liHelp prepare, organize, and clean program spaces and equipment, including closing the building when assigned. /li liPromptly communicate with students, families and colleagues regarding any concerns or to report any incidents. /li liPerform other related duties as assigned. /li /ul h3Required Skills, Knowledge Abilities /h3 ul liFamiliarity with the Reggio Emilia approach, International Baccalaureate (IB) Early Years framework or inquiry/project based approach and teaching within an English language immersion model; /li liAbility to thrive in a dynamic,
