Overview
The Global Containerized Ocean Freight Analyst supports the global ocean team with performance reporting, executive-ready PowerPoint slide decks, leadership insights, and cross-functional ocean freight projects. The role translates containerized ocean data into clear recommendations that improve visibility, service, cost, profitability, and decision-making across the global network. A minimum of 5 years of ocean freight experience is required, together with a strong interest in applying AI responsibly to reporting, analysis, and process improvement.
Responsibilities

- Own the monthly and quarterly global containerized ocean performance reporting pack, including TEU volumes, revenue and margin, buy/sell rate performance, service quality, schedule reliability, budget variance, and forecast indicators.
- Design, maintain, and improve Power BI and Excel dashboards; reconcile inputs from CargoWise, carrier and market sources, regional teams, and finance; document KPI definitions, data lineage, and data-quality controls.
- Prepare executive-ready PowerPoint slide decks and leadership readouts that convert complex ocean freight data into clear trends, risks, opportunities, recommendations, and actions.
- Deliver ad hoc analysis on trade lanes, ports, carriers, equipment, capacity, blank sailings, rates, demurrage and detention, customer or vertical performance, and other ocean freight topics as requested by leadership.
