- Based in: Rome, Italy
- Open opportunity: Senior Technical Project Manager Manager
The selected professional will be responsible for leading and overseeing all engineering activities related to utility-scale photovoltaic and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Italy, covering the full project lifecycle: development, design, construction, and commissioning.
What will you do?

- Lead engineering for PV and BESS projects from early-stage to development, permitting, construction, and commissioning
- Act as technical reference for grid connection, layout optimization, yield assessments, and technology selection
- Support permitting, due diligence, and M&A; processes
- Validate designs from co-developers, consultants, and EPCs
- Review RFIs and design changes; supporting commissioning and performance validation
- Ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards and bankability requirements
- Drive CAPEX optimization and support investment decisions with technical-economic analysis
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, and commercial teams
- Lead BESS-specific engineering: sizing, integration, safety compliance, and grid code requirements
- Manage technical interfaces with EPCs, grid operators, lenders, and authorities
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Prepare technical reports for management and investors
What do we need?

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as Engineering Manager or Senior Engineering Lead in utility-scale PV and/or BESS projects.
- Proven experience in project development, design review, CAPEX analysis, and construction-phase engineering management.
- Strong knowledge of PV and BESS technologies, grid integration, and EPC project execution.
- Experience working with co-developers, EPC contractors, and international project teams.
- Proficiency in English and Italian. Knowledge of Spanish will be considered a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
