Chapter Lead
As an R&D; Senior Engineer, you will leverage your technical expertise to validate and customize OEM single-phase and three-phase low-voltage Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), ensuring they meet the requirements of mission-critical power protection applications and market specifications.
Reporting to R&D; Hardware Chapter Lead, based in Quartino Switzerland, you will contribute significantly to initiatives related to ABB’s Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS) products

Location: Quartino Switzerland
You will be mainly accountable for:
Lead technical validation and customization of OEM 1ph and 3ph low voltage Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS), as well as batteries and accessories.

Manage test partners (UL, Intertek, Dekra, Eurofins, etc.) to scope and plan test programs to demonstrate compliance with applicable IEC or UL standards.
Manage the technical specifications of assigned products and support the Product Manager in developing the business case for product development.
Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions related to issues found during qualification testing, as well as issues identified at customer sites.
Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art technologies and collaborate with the research center in Switzerland and other ABB stakeholders to identify potential new UPS technologies.
Qualifications for the Role:
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, along with more than five years of professional experience in electrical engineering.
Must have experience working with power electronic systems
Experience in the use of various measuring equipment in
