At ORiS, we are building the technologies that will power the next generation of space missions. Through laser-based wireless power transmission, we aim to overcome the energy limitations of today’s satellites and enable longer, more capable, and more resilient operations in orbit.
We are looking for a versatile Junior Systems Engineer to support the development of ORiS’s inter-satellite wireless power transmission mission.
You will work across multiple engineering disciplines, helping translate mission objectives into system requirements, architectures, interfaces, performance budgets, verification activities, and integrated solutions. Working closely with senior engineers and subsystem specialists, you will contribute to the coordination of the mission’s optical, electronic, mechanical, thermal, software, GNC,
and power subsystems.
This is a multidisciplinary engineering role covering the full mission development lifecycle, from system definition and design coordination to integration, verification, and validation.
What You Will Do

- Support the definition and management of mission and system requirements, architectures, interfaces, and technical specifications.
- Contribute to concept studies, trade-off analyses, system budgets, and mission-performance assessments.
- Translate system-level requirements into clear inputs for Optical, Electronics, Mechanical, Thermal, Software, GNC, and Power teams.
- Support the definition and maintenance of interface-control documents and technical documentation.
- Develop models and simulations using Python, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent tools.
