We are looking for a motivated Researcher (with an Environmental Science background) to join our new FUSION grant "GRASSROOTS" project, an innovative initiative focused on grassland resilience in South Tyrol. The project aims to assess the impact of climate change on managed pastures by developing Digital Twins and microclimate chamber simulations to test the response of different grass species under controlled conditions. **Tasks**: - Utilize spectroscopy techniques to monitor plant physiological responses.
- Integrate real-world datasets from managed pastures into simulation models.
- Conduct experiments in a microclimate chamber to test species resilience.
- Collaborate with researchers, data scientists, and agronomists to validate findings. **Requirements**: - Essential_
- Background in Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Science, Remote Sensing, or a related field.
- Experience with spectroscopy, simulation modeling, and sensor-based monitoring.
- Strong interest in climate adaptation strategies and sustainable grassland management.
- Ability to work in an interdisciplinary research environment.
- Good knowledge of English, written and spoken.
- Good knowledge of Italian and/or German, written and spoken, is desirable, but not essential.
