**Tasks**: - Develop and implement algorithms for snow cover mapping and snow property retrieval using optical satellite data.
- Utilize cloud computing platforms (e.g., OpenEO) to process and analyse large-scale datasets.
- Use and tune dedicated machine learning models
- Explore the integration of SAR data to complement optical analyses. **Requirements**: - Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with geospatial data processing libraries
- Solid academic background in engineering or physics.
- Experience with optical satellite data processing and geospatial analysis workflows.
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and tools.
