Radica | The Root of Change

About RadicaRadica is the Mediterranean's first ICROA-endorsed agricultural soil carbon platform, working with more than 1,000 farms across Italy and Spain. Our projects span woody perennial crops (olive, hazelnut, vineyard) and arable systems (durum wheat, processing tomato), with roughly 30,000 hectares already under monitoring. We operate under the Verra VM0042 methodology on the International Carbon Registry, hold a BeZero BBB rating placing us in the top 5 of rated projects globally, and have completed two full issuance cycles totalling more than 80,000 tCO₂e, with credits contracted by blue-chip European corporate buyers and an active pipeline of multinational food and beverage manufacturers. We serve three interconnected commercial lines: verified carbon removals for corporate offsetting; farm-traceable insetting for food and beverage manufacturers accounting for Scope 3 emissions; and CSRD-ready data infrastructure for corporate sustainability disclosure. The opportunityNo major agricultural carbon platform has built a technology stack designed for Mediterranean perennial and arable crops simultaneously. We are building that stack, and we are hiring a senior technology leader to architect it, bring together what's already built, procure the right partners to build it, and own delivery. What you will doYou will be Radica's first senior technology leader, reporting directly to the CEO, with end-to-end ownership of the digital roadmap, the platform architecture, and delivery through external implementation partners.Set the roadmap and architecture. Audit our existing MRV and data infrastructure across all layers (ground-truth soil sampling, remote sensing, biophysical modelling, registry issuance), then produce the sequenced digital roadmap and the governing technology principles (data ownership, API-first integration, vendor independence)

that the whole organisation executes against.Design the data architecture and governance framework. Define the end-to-end pipeline from field ingestion through monitoring to registry issuance and buyer reporting, with data ownership and portability embedded in every vendor and partner contract, engineered to remain audit-ready across a 30-year permanence horizon.Deliver the farmer and cooperative platforms. Through RFP, vendor selection and accountable implementation management, ship a mobile-first platform serving the full farmer lifecycle from contracting to payment, with crop-specific logic for perennial and arable systems, and build the ingestion infrastructure to onboard farms at cooperative scale.Extend the MRV stack. Strengthen our Mediterranean soil carbon and biomass monitoring stack along with with our scientific team and partners (including ESA), and ensure every output is independently verifiable under ISO 14064-2 and defensible at third-party audit.Build buyer-facing infrastructure. Deliver distinct, credible data outputs for each commercial line, progressing from structured exports to a self-service buyer portal and API integration with corporate ESG reporting platforms.Lead technical procurement. Write technically authoritative RFPs, run competitive processes within the right specialist circles, and hold external providers to milestone commitments with rigour.Who you areA systems architect with a track record of shipping integrated data platforms in regulated, science-adjacent domains: environmental MRV,

agricultural carbon, precision agriculture or regulated financial data.Technically literate in modelling and machine learning: you can specify, commission and validate biogeochemical and predictive models without writing the code yourself, and translate their outputs into product features non-technical users can act on.Experienced delivering consumer- or farmer-facing mobile products at material scale, for non-technical users across varied levels of digital literacy.Fluent in carbon accounting frameworks (GHG Protocol Scopes 1 to 3, SBTi FLAG, CSRD/ESRS) at a level that holds up in conversation with a corporate sustainability director or their auditor.A sharp build-versus-buy decision-maker with a genuine network in the systems builder and developer community, able to spot data ownership traps in commercial proposals and stand behind your recommendations.Comfortable with geospatial data systems: cadastral sources, satellite imagery pipelines and field boundary management.Built for longevity. You weigh data format durability, vendor dependency and the operating cost of a system at year 15 as naturally as shipping version 1. The decisions made now become expensive to reverse at ten times today's scale, and our permanence obligations run 30 years. Why RadicaYou will architect something that does not yet exist: a full-stack soil carbon platform built from the ground up for Mediterranean perennial and arable crops. We are the only certified Italian-origin issuer of carbon removal credits for olive and perennial systems. CSRD Wave 1 is live, the buyer pipeline is real and growing, the team is small but growing fast, access to leadership is direct, and the equity component is meaningful for the right candidate. To apply or learn more: (email hidden)h Radica · Alberami S.R.L.
