Offer Description

The researcher will be responsible for implementing an intelligent
DAS-based monitoring system for railway infrastructure anomalies and rolling stock
integrity, with a focus on the detection and monitoring of defects in bonded insulation joints




and switch tip wear, intrusion and rockfall detection, as well as real time traffic management
and train integrity, including real-time train location along its route and continuous
monitoring of its integrity by counting axles and bogies. The activity will consist in
developing the topic of infrastructure monitoring via DAS with a systematic approach.
