Within the Compliance Organizational Unit, we are looking for a Senior Trade Compliance Manager for our Rome office - via Montello.

The candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

- define guidelines, supervise and monitor the Trade Compliance initiatives and activities of controlled companies, both Italian and foreign, in coordination with the competent functions of the subsidiaries and business divisions;
- conduct assessment activities at Direct Controlled Companies, verifying the correct implementation of the internal reference regulations and promoting the continuous improvement of compliance safeguards;
- contribute to the implementation of the Group's Trade Compliance Program by ensuring coordination and support to Controlled Companies, in compliance with specific governance rules, with particular reference to monitoring transactions with "sensitive" countries;
- analyze the results of notifications related to Politically Sensitive Transactions prepared by the Trade Compliance Units of Subsidiaries (TCS),



with a view to managing and mitigating risk profiles, complying with export control regulations, and observing international sanctions;
- contribute to training/information activities for the dissemination of the Compliance Culture within the Leonardo Group, ensuring the implementation of dedicated initiatives and sessions for the benefit of Subsidiaries as well as the coordination of training activities for TCS;
- prepare and update internal regulatory documentation of competence, supporting Subsidiaries in incorporating Group principles and rules also through the definition and updating of their respective company policies and procedures;
- ensure the preparation of relevant information flows, providing support for requests from internal and external Stakeholders.

Educational Qualification:

Master's degree, preferably in Law.

Seniority:

Senior: at least 7 years of experience in similar roles, characterized by a multi-disciplinary approach and gained in international contexts, preferably in the defense, aerospace, or other highly regulated sectors.

Technical-specialist skills:

- consolidated experience in Trade Compliance disciplines;
- in-depth knowledge of national and international regulations regarding Export/Trade Control (Licensing), Import/Export, international sanctions, etc.;
- familiarity with extra-territorial regulations such as US ITAR and EAR Regulations;
- ability to operate in international contexts characterized by high regulatory and organizational complexity;
- professional experience gained in international contexts and/or abroad will be a preferential qualification.

Soft skills:

- leadership and ability to coordinate resources and functional networks;
- excellent relational and communication skills;
- ability to influence and manage Stakeholders in complex international contexts;




- ability to support due diligence and decision-making processes based on risk assessment;
- planning, organization, and priority management.

Language skills:

Excellent knowledge of English (C1 level).

Other:

Availability for national and international travel.

How does the selection process work?
