As a Senior Java Developer you will work alongside a team of engineers with decades of combined experience on the accesso Horizon ticketing and visitor management system, powered by VGS.
The system supports attractions in all aspects of selling, distribution and redemption of tickets in one unified platform.
/p h3Location /h3 pMilan, Italy.
The position primarily requires you to be in-office; we offer a flexible hybrid schedule, allowing you to work from home 1?2 days.
/p h3Reports to /h3 pSoftware Development Manager /p h3Travel Requirement /h3 pUp to 20% global travel may be requested to client sites.
/p h3What you'll be working on /h3 ul liMaintaining existing software code to meet same standards/criteria as new code /li liDocumenting newly implemented features and bug fixes /li liAssisting with and/or performing upgrades, training, and implementation /li liAlpha testing new code /li liOwnership of full lifecycle of services, including deployment and operation in production /li liCollaborating with other engineering teams /li /ul h3Technologies you may work with /h3 ul liJava /li liMicrosoft SQL /li liTomcat /li liHTML, JS, CSS /li liSwing /li liAWS services: EC2, S3, EKS,
ECS /li liCI/CD tools /li liGithub Copilot / Cursor / Claude /li liEclipse / IntelliJ IDEs /li /ul h3What you Bring to the Role /h3 ul li5+ years of relevant work experience (years may not be the best measure; if your skill set aligns, consider applying) /li liExperience in Java or similar OO language (e.g., C#) /li liExperience with JSP technologies /li liExperience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL), including writing complex SQL queries; knowledge of NoSQL is a plus.
