Senior Consultant | Competition Economics | Rome We are currently supporting a leading independent economic consultancy, specialising in competition, antitrust and regulatory economics, with the appointment of a Senior Economist to join their Rome office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced competition economist to join a high quality team and take genuine ownership of cases, working closely with Partners while developing client relationships and managing junior economists.
The Role:
This is a role offering real responsibility and autonomy from the outset, rather than simply supporting more senior economists.
Take ownership of projects and case strategyWork directly with clients and senior stakeholdersManage and develop junior economistsGain exposure to complex European competition and regulatory mattersWork closely with Partners on high profile casesBenefit from a genuinely flexible working arrangementKey ResponsibilitiesLead and manage competition economics projects from inception through to deliveryDevelop economic analysis and contribute to case strategyManage client relationships and act as a key point of contactOversee and mentor junior economistsWork closely with Partners and senior colleagues on complex mattersContribute to European Commission and public enforcement projectsSupport the development of high-quality client deliverablesKey Skills & Experience3-5+ years' experience within an economic consultancyStrong background in competition economics, antitrust or merger economicsComfortable managing client relationships and junior team membersStrong technical economic and analytical skillsPrevious experience within a competition authority alongside consultancy experience would also be of interestNative/Fluent ItalianBenefitsGenuine autonomy and ownership from the outsetDirect exposure to Partners and senior clientsOpportunity to manage and mentor junior economistsExposure to high-profile European Commission and public enforcement workFlexible remote-working arrangementOpportunity to join a growing and highly regarded competition economics team in RomeFor more information regarding the role, please contact Zach at ****** or via LinkedIn.
