Engineer - Network Engineering The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of network infrastructure. This includes LAN/WAN networks, routers, switches and firewalls as well as other related hardware components. They will also be required to troubleshoot any issues that arise with these systems in order to ensure optimal performance at all times. Responsibilities:
- Designs new or modifying existing local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (LANs) and wireless access points;- Configures routing protocols such as SPF and PGP on Cisco Routers;- Instals security measures including firewall configurations using technologies like ASA Firewall;- Troubleshoots complex networking problems across multiple platforms;- Monitors system performance by analysing traffic patterns utilising tools such SNP monitoring software's.;- Develops technical documentation regarding current configuration settings for future reference purposes;;- Researches emerging technology trends within the industry in order to stay up-to-date with best practices..
