The Maths department has 3.5 full-time teachers. The departments take an inquiry approach to learning and as such hands-on learning and practical experimentation play a significant role in learning and teaching.- Students are taught general science from Grade 7-9 (MYP1-3) and the discrete sciences are taught from Grade 10. IS Monza is an International Baccalaureate continuum school offering PYP, MYP and DP. At the Diploma level Maths AA, Maths AI, Biology,
Chemistry, Physics and Environmental Systems and Societies are taught.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**: - Teaching Maths to IB Diploma Higher Level.
- Sourcing and developing relevant learning resources with the team.
- Planning differentiated lessons to support and challenge all learners.
- Creating engaging lessons and assessments aligned with the curriculum.
- Contributing to curriculum reviews and teaching methods.
- Delivering lessons using a variety of effective strategies, online and in person.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development.
- Raising achievement through high expectations and collaboration.
- Supporting quality assurance and teamwork in the Science department.
- Tracking and reporting pupil progress per school policy.
- Volunteering in interdisciplinary school initiatives.
- Promoting Science Department activities locally and internationally.
- Maintaining displays of student work in classrooms and school spaces.
- Managing time effectively and meeting all deadlines.
- Participating in school life, including clubs and study sessions.
- Assisting with field trips, competitions, and science/maths projects.
- Supporting whole school events and extracurricular activities.
- Representing the department and school positively in all settings.
