Pubblicato il 01-09-2026 - Hilo Impact in Bari
We are looking for a mid-level Grant Writer and Project Manager to join our team remotely. This hybrid role blends grant writing with hands-on project management, with a particular focus on Horizon Europe funding.
About Us
Hilo Impact is a small company operating in the sustainable development space and specialized in Horizon Europe funding. Our verticals cover two areas: 1. food security/sustainable agriculture and 2. circular (bio)economy. We bring together several different actors including startups, SMEs, universities, and research institutes to prepare competitive, high-quality proposals. This last round, we had a 75% success rate.
Our clients rely on our competencies, network and methodologies to turn R&I; ideas into funded projects. This role sits at the center of that work: writing the proposals that win funding, then managing them once they land.
What You'll Do
- Research, write, and submit proposals for Horizon Europe and related EU funding calls.
- Manage the full grant lifecycle: tracking calls, deadlines, partner coordination,
content delivery and proposal writing
- Plan and oversee funded projects from kickoff to close, coordinating timelines, budgets, deliverables, and reporting to the EC.
- Coordinate existing and future projects with consortium partners across countries
- Partner with technical/program teams to translate project work into compelling narratives
- Maintain a pipeline of relevant Horizon Europe (and other) funding opportunities
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of experience in grant writing and/or project management, with direct experience on Horizon Europe
- Familiarity with EU funding rules, consortium agreements, and reporting requirements
- Track record of securing funding
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication in English; additional EU languages a plus
- Comfortable managing multiple deadlines independently in a fully remote setting
