A Gartner Executive Partner (EP) is an indispensable tool for every digital leader. Gartner’s Executive Partners act as coaches, content-providers and business advisors to Executive Programs members, and partner with colleagues across the organization to deliver service solutions utilizing Gartner products and services.
What you will do
- Manage a portfolio of 25-33 member relationships within some of the World’s/National largest enterprises cross industries, both from public sector and commercial industries
- Leverage subject matter expertise to create service solutions for clients utilizing all ExP products
- Define and deliver innovative solutions by assessing member Mission Critical Priorities (MCPs) and developing a customized service plan
- Client consultation will be a mix of in-person and virtual meeting, including workshops, research analyst visits, roundtables and webinars
- Present or facilitate at local ExP events
- Build a strong partnership with Gartner’s Sales organization and collaborate with them to ensure member engagement and renewal/growth of ExP business

Gartner Executive
Partners have natural curiosity and share their knowledge and expertise with Executive Programs members. They understand the members’
mission critical priorities and build trust by delivering value and leveraging key internal partnerships to drive results.
- Consulting leaders, CxOs, and/or Executive level IT leaders, with 20+ years of progressive technology exposure, especially in digital and AI.
- The ideal candidate(s) should be able to demonstrate exposure to and ownership of large Strategic Programs and oversight of the Strategic IT direction of their organization.
- Extensive knowledge of a CIO’s focus areas and an in-depth understanding of the IT industry (including Leadership, IT Operations Management, strategy and trends, use of metrics, etc.) and priorities such as the challenges of “today’s” CIO’s and how Gartner ExP can make the difference as an advisory organization
- Advanced critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
- High tolerance and an advanced ability to lead and manage ambiguous situations
- Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills
- Superior verbal, written, facilitation and presentation skills (Executive Presence)
- Demonstrable sales and/or business development experience with CXO level executives

Associate Director, IT Strategy Consulting

What You’ll Do
Our Consulting Associate Directors are responsible for high-level project delivery and oversight along with client relationship management. You will manage teams, and advise clients at the highest strategic level on both big-picture and tactical matters, focusing on how technology enables a wide range of business outcomes.
What You’ll Need
- Experience within a well-regarded management consultancy in a project delivery capacity
- Experience across a range of IT Infrastructure topics such as
- Infrastructure strategy
- Infrastructure transformation programs
- Cloud architecture incl. DC topology (e.g. related to Edge) as well as Hybrid architecture (combining cloud and on prem)
- Knowledge and experience of scalable, secure, and cost-effective IT infrastructure solutions, integrating on-premise hardware with cloud platforms
- Data centre migration strategy and programs
- Infrastructure as a Code patterns and adoption programs
- ITSM, IT Services and Operations expertise, ITIL, DevSecOps, FinOps
- Architecture/infrastructure modernization experience (e.g. moving from mainframe to digital architecture)
- Evaluation of current IT networks, servers, and cloud environments, comparing them against long-term business objectives
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and the ability to assist in the creative development of solutions and strategies to solve client problems
- An ability to be hands-on and to manage multiple client priorities simultaneously
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred
Consulting Experience
- Experience within a well-regarded management consultancy in a project delivery capacity.
- Prior experience in a problem-solving capacity such as a solution/technical architect or analyst preferred
- A consistent track record of leading people and building high-performing teams that leverage technology to drive the mission-critical priorities of commercial or government entities
- An ability to inspire and motivate professionals from both technical and non-technical backgrounds towards a common goal
- Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and the creative development of solutions and strategies to solve client problems. Must adapt Gartner frameworks and methodologies to strike at the heart of a client’s most pressing business challenges
- An ability to be hands-on and to manage multiple client priorities simultaneously
- Excellence in written and verbal communication
- Expertise with strategic consulting frameworks
- Building rapid proto-types for presentations / sales proposals
- Excellent people skills and customer relationship track record;
- Experience in developing client business relationships as part of a commercial organisation
Gartner is committed to fair and equitable pay. The estimated target income pay for this role is 74,000 EUR to 84,000 EUR in Italy. Target income includes base pay and variable earning potential. Employees participate in either a bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. Pay and earnings vary based on several factors including but not limited to, performance, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
