CATERING & BOH SUPERINTENDENT
Position Summary
Reporting directly to the Site Team Manager-Newbuild and Commissioning, Superintend serves as a key Owner’s Representative within the Newbuild organization, responsible for overseeing and monitoring shipyard execution, subcontractor performance, and supplier deliverables related to outfitting, back-of-house (BOH), and associated vessel installations throughout the yacht construction lifecycle. This role is responsible for ensuring all assigned systems, equipment, and installations are executed in accordance with the Shipbuilding Contract, approved technical specifications, classification requirements, regulatory standards, quality expectations, and project delivery milestones. Acting as an extension of the Owner’s Newbuild organization, the Inspector provides technical oversight, operational guidance, quality assurance, and proactive issue resolution to support timely vessel delivery, commissioning activities, and operational readiness. The position requires extensive cruise and yacht newbuild experience,
with strong technical knowledge across marine outfitting, safety systems, shipboard operations, and construction methodologies. The Inspector will work collaboratively with the shipyard, architects, consultants, classification societies, suppliers, operational stakeholders, and cross-functional project teams to support successful execution of the project from design review through final delivery and commissioning. This role plays a critical function in strengthening shipyard accountability, enforcing contractual and quality standards, supporting integrated commissioning efforts, minimizing delivery risk, and ensuring the vessel is delivered in alignment with Owner expectations, operational requirements, and premium luxury brand standards.
this position is located onsite at the Shipyards, you will be required to walk extensively, lift up to 20KG, climb scaffolding & ladders and work in a construction zone.
