Job Description
Based at our production site in Minerbio (Bologna area), you will be part of a team of three process engineers and will report to the Process Engineer Supervisor.
The Process Engineer will be primarily responsible for process designs, improvements, and engineering support for capital projects.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical expert in process chemistry, process design, equipment operation, and manufacturing technologies. Develop a deep understanding of plant processes, operating philosophies, design bases, and control systems to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
- Lead new product introductions, technology transfers, and scale-up activities, ensuring successful implementation into manufacturing while maintaining product quality, operational efficiency, and process robustness. Provide technical leadership for complex manufacturing challenges, root-cause investigations, and systemic issues affecting safety, quality, yield, productivity, and customer service.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying, evaluating,
and implementing opportunities to improve process performance, reduce costs, increase yields, and enhance operational reliability. Lead or support Lean Six Sigma projects and develop business cases, project charters, and improvement proposals, including economic evaluations and cost-vantaggi analyses.
- Support capital projects from concept through start-up by developing process designs, engineering packages, technology packages, process simulations, material and energy balances, process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs;, equipment specifications, and process safety reviews. Collaborate closely with project engineers, operations, technology, R&D;, and business teams to ensure successful project execution and standardization of manufacturing technologies and best practices.
