At Tecnord, we combine engineering excellence with customer focus. We are looking for a talented Technical Sales Engineer to join our Sales team and helping customers transform their application needs into innovative hydraulic solutions. while supporting the technical growth of our international subsidiaries.
The Role
The Technical Sales Engineer supports the sales process by providing technical expertise and application knowledge, identifying the most suitable hydraulic solutions and contributing to the development of new business opportunities across international markets.
Reports to: Sales Director Controls
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Technical Support
- Analyse customer technical requirements and support the identification of the most suitable hydraulic solution.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Testing Laboratory to assess technical feasibility.
Technical Sales Engineer
- Prepare technical proposals and support commercial quotations.
- Provide technical assistance during the sales process and product selection.
Project Support
- Support cross-functional activities involving Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Marketing and Testing Laboratory until prototype validation.
- Monitor project progress and facilitate communication between stakeholders.
Subsidiaries Support
- Provide technical support to the Group's international subsidiaries.
- Contribute to the implementation of Technical Sales Engineer processes and tools.
Training & Continuous Improvement
- Support technical training activities for Sales teams and subsidiaries.
- Collect customer feedback and contribute to the continuous improvement of products, processes and Technical Sales Engineer tools.
Your Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Good knowledge of hydraulic systems and components.
- Ability to analyse customer applications and define suitable technical solutions.
- Understanding of mechanical design principles and technical drawings.
- Cost-oriented approach to solution definition.
- Project coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent command of English (minimum B2 level), both written and spoken.
- Availability for frequent international travel, including outside the EU.
Soft Skills
- Strong customer orientation.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
It is considered a plus:
- Proven experience in Application Engineering, Product Engineering or similar technical roles within the hydraulic industry.
- Knowledge of mobile hydraulics applications.
- Basic knowledge of CAD software is appreciated
