The in-house team has strong resilience governance but lacks service rebuild and recovery depth; this role fills that gap.
/ppWe are looking for a recovery-fluent facilitator rather than a backup-tool specialist or a pure engineer.
You will work service group by service group, running sessions with the service owner and the SMEs who own each layer, and turning what you extract into clear, testable rebuild plans.
You won't be expected to know every technology — you will be expected to know enough to ask the right questions and challenge the answers.
/ppbr/ppbResponsibilities /b /pulliWrite recovery / rebuild plans for assigned service groups to an agreed roadmap.
/liliRun sessions with service owners and the multiple backup platform owners per service group.
/liliCapture RTO/RPO, backup frequency, incrementals, logs and dependencies.
/liliEstablish reusable plan patterns early to drive throughput.
/liliFlag SME availability blockers to the internal PM team.
/li /ulpbr/ppbEssential /b /pulliProven experience documenting true DR / service rebuild — infrastructure provisioning, application install and config, integration reconnection, then data restore.
This is not a backup administration role; runbook-only experience will under-scope the work.
/liliBackup and recovery understood as a discipline — data protection, restore chains, failover/failback, dependency mapping — independent of any vendor's tooling.
/liliAble to run a workshop and pull an accurate rebuild sequence out of the SMEs who own each layer.
/liliCredible with both technical SMEs and business / BCM stakeholders without a translator - RTO/RPO, dependency mapping, failover/failback and service resilience terminology should be second nature.
/liliInfrastructure breadth across virtualisation, databases and OS (e.g. VMware/vCenter, Oracle, Linux).
/liliExcellent technical writing; self-directed and high-output; willing to travel for workshops.
/li /ulpbr/ppbDesirable /b /pulliExposure to Cohesity, NetBackup or Oracle RMAN /liliBroadcast, telco or media environments alongside corporate IT.
/liliFluent Italian.
Workshops in Italian; plans written in English.
