We are looking for a Solution Engineer to join our Sales Unit in Italy.
In this role, you will act as a trusted technical partner throughout the sales process, designing material flow solutions and translating customer requirements into tailored technical concepts based on the Interroll platform portfolio.
This is a highly technical role requiring the ability to interpret technical drawings, develop practical engineering solutions and work closely with Sales, Engineering, Production Plants and customers to deliver high-quality material handling projects.
Responsibilities
Consult customers on material handling and intralogistics solutions.
Design material flow concepts and prepare technical drawings based on the Interroll platform portfolio.
Prepare, review and maintain technical layouts and drawings using CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD 2D/3D).
Develop the technical scope of customer proposals and support quotation preparation.
Provide technical expertise throughout the sales cycle and support Area Sales Managers during customer engagements.
Coordinate order management activities in collaboration with customers, Area Sales Managers Solution and production plants.
Ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible, competitive and aligned with customer requirements.
Support project execution by acting as the technical interface between internal stakeholders and customers.
Background
Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or a related technical field.
Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D/3D or equivalent CAD software.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (mandatory).
Previous experience in solution engineering, mechanical design, industrial automation or a similar technical environment is considered an advantage.
Knowledge of material handling, conveyor systems, intralogistics or industrial automation is considered an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
High level of autonomy, flexibility and customer orientation.
