Primary Purpose:
The Network Engineer II supports ADUSA's large-scale network across retail stores, distribution centers, offices, data centers, Equinix, and Azure. The role implements and troubleshoots LAN, WAN/SD-WAN, wireless, firewall connectivity, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and network monitoring services. The engineer assigned incidents and changes through diagnosis, validation, documentation, and closure, and participates in critical incident response and on-call support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity across Cisco, HPE/Aruba, Arista, Fortinet, and Palo Alto environments, including VLANs, STP, LACP, SDWAN, Routing, and NAT.
- Support retail WAN and SD-WAN across MPLS, broadband, and LTE, including path selection, failover, latency, packet loss, and brownout conditions.
- Implement approved ServiceNow changes with tested steps, validation evidence, backout plans, and accurate closure records.
- Support Aruba wireless and ClearPass/NAC, including AP health, client connectivity, authentication, RF performance, and coverage issues.
- Monitor and troubleshoot with SolarWinds, Datadog, FortiAnalyzer, SNMP, syslog, NetFlow, and packet captures.
- Support Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM and F5 load-balancing dependencies during incidents and changes.
- Own assigned incidents through service restoration, technical updates, root-cause analysis, and prevention actions.
- Maintain network diagrams, inventories, standards, SOPs, MOPs, and configuration records.
- Build reporting, and repetitive operational tasks. Drive ADUSA MSP to maintain, SOP, runbook
