Senior Specialist, ProcurementSuominen Corporation is looking to hire, for the Cressa plant (Novara, Italy) the Senior Specialist, Procurement, able to guarantee continuity to the production through the availability of all necessary materials and services.
As Senior Specialist, Procurement – directly reporting to the Supply Chain Manager – you will be in charge of ensuring the availability of all direct and indirect supplies required for plant.
Your key tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Managing autonomously contract selection and negotiation with key local suppliers
- Ensuring availability of suppliers for direct and indirect services and related materials for production,
in close cooperation with Maintenance department
- Managing autonomously procurement of necessary raw materials to ensure production continuity at the plant
- Collaborating with Raw Material Planner and Supply Chain Manager to align material and service purchase requirements with MRP planning outputs
- Ensuring materials are available as required/scheduled and manage inventory to maintain adequate stock levels
- Creating and managing all purchase orders, purchase requisitions, and related changes
- Driving continuous improvement of the purchasing process within the plant
- Monitoring cost management, on-time deliveries and quality of incoming products
- Guaranteeing correct setup and management of production materials (grades) and related BOMs (Bills of Materials)
- Negotiating the sale of by-products and production waste
