Job Purpose:

The Project Engineer is responsible for executing and coordinating the technical activities of the project under the supervision and guidance of the Project Engineering Leader (PEL). The PE ensures that engineering deliverables are developed according to project requirements, timelines, and quality standards, and acts as the technical point of contact for specific engineering scopes, disciplines, or supplier packages.

The PE plays a key role in supporting the PEL in aligning engineering disciplines, managing technical interfaces, and ensuring consistency across technical documentation and supplier coordination.

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. Technical Execution:

a. Develops, coordinates, and follows up on technical deliverables in collaboration with other engineering disciplines;

b. Ensures that all technical activities are aligned with project specifications, standards, and the guidance provided by the Project Engineering Leader;

c. Collects and consolidates discipline input for internal coordination and client/vendor interfaces.

2. Support to Project Engineering Leader:

a. Supports the PEL in managing the overall technical progress of the project;

b. Escalates technical risks, deviations, or criticalities to the PEL and contributes to mitigation plans;

c. Assists the PEL in preparing documentation for internal reviews and client meetings.

3. Interface with Client and Vendors:

a. Participate in technical discussions with the client and in meetings when delegated;

b. Manages the day-to-day technical relationship with specific vendors or subcontractors, under the coordination of the PEL;

c. Ensures timely responses to vendor/client technical queries (TQ, NCR, etc.).

Engineering Deliverables & Documentation:

a. Prepares or coordinates the preparation of technical documentation (e.g., data sheets, specifications, technical notes, reports);

b. Ensures timely issuance and proper quality of assigned deliverables;

c. Participates in technical reviews, internal or external, ensuring traceability and alignment with project requirements.

5. Procurement Support:

a. Prepares Material Requisitions and Technical Specifications in line with project needs;

b. Participates in technical bid evaluations and provides alignment support under PEL supervision;

c. Follows up with vendors on documentation delivery and clarification.

6. Quality & Inspection:

a. Supports the Quality team during pre-inspection meetings and FATs, when required;

b. Ensures vendor documentation and fabrication follow the approved technical specifications.

7. Installation & Commissioning Support:

a. Provides technical support during the construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up phases;

b. Interfaces with the Service team for clarifications and issue resolution.

Basic expertise:

MSc in Engineering (chemical, energetic, or similar)

Fluent in both Italian and English languages

Technical knowledges:

Basis of Hydraulic.

Knowledge of the basis of the drafting and structural engineering tools.

Cross competencies:

Strong communication skills.

Team-working capability.

Curiosity and interest in the multidisciplinar knowledge.

Proactive attitude.

Contratto di lavoro: Tempo completo

Retribuzione: Fino a €28.000,00 all'anno
