In Italy, our Tax offering is delivered through A&M; Tax Italy STP SRL, a regulated professional firm, and is experiencing strong growth. The Indirect Tax Team

Indirect taxes are complex and can create significant cost, risk, and operational burden if not managed effectively. Our team provides practical, commercially focused VAT advice to help clients navigate these challenges.

We support clients across the full lifecycle of their business, with a strong focus on transactions, restructurings, and supply chain optimisation. This includes advising on the VAT implications of M&A;, due diligence, deal structuring, and post-acquisition integration, as well as identifying opportunities to improve VAT efficiency.

We work closely with clients to manage cross-border VAT challenges and embed indirect tax considerations into strategic decision-making. Our team collaborates across jurisdictions to deliver coordinated, high-quality advice on complex international matters.

The Role

As an Indirect professional you will play a central role in delivering VAT advisory work and supporting the growth of the Indirect Tax practice in Italy.

You will:

- Work closely with Managing Directors on VAT advisory projects.
- Advise clients on VAT aspects of transactions, restructurings, and supply chain changes
- Manage a portfolio of clients,



delivering practical, commercially driven tax advice
- Oversee compliance requirements while maintaining an advisory-led focus
- Ensuring technical accuracy and commercial relevance
- Manage multiple engagements, budgets, and client relationships effectively
- Contribute to cross-border projects, working with colleagues across A&M;’s European network
- Support business development initiatives and help grow the Italy Indirect Tax offering

What We Are Looking For

- Experience in indirect tax / VAT, ideally within a Big 4 or leading advisory firm
- Strong technical knowledge of VAT, with exposure to transactions or international work
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality work
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team development
- Strong communication skills in Italian and English
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. chartered accountant, Italian equivalent, or tax qualification) preferred
- A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
