We are looking for a Mechanical System Engineer to join our Rail Engineering Unit and contribute to advanced railway projects, with a focus on the development and integration of gangway and railway coupling subsystems .
Main activities:
- Define, manage, and verify mechanical subsystem requirements in compliance with railway standards and project specifications.
- Support the integration of mechanical subsystems into railway vehicles, managing mechanical, kinematic, structural, and functional interfaces.
- Contribute to subsystem architecture, configuration, and operating modes .
- Coordinate Verification & Validation activities , including functional, mechanical, and integration testing.
- Act as the technical reference for assigned subsystems, interfacing with customers, suppliers, designers, and project teams .
- Participate in Design Reviews and technical meetings.
- Collaborate with Requirements Management, Mechanical Design,
Structural Engineering, RAMS, Safety, Validation, and Manufacturing teams.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, interface documentation, test procedures, and verification reports .
Technical skills:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering , or a related field.
- Experience or knowledge of System Engineering applied to mechanical systems .
- Experience in requirements management, interface definition, mechanical integration, and V&V; .
- Knowledge of mechanical/kinematic interfaces, loads, movements, installation constraints, and operating conditions.
- Good communication skills and proficiency in technical English .
- Experience in the railway industry and knowledge of gangway, coupler, or inter-vehicle connection systems will be considered a plus.
