Job Title: Static Equipment Engineer Duration: September **** to January **** Schedule: Monday to Friday Location: Milan, Italy This opportunity supports a major detail design phase within the oil and gas sector, focused on static equipment engineering for a large-scale water handling project. The role offers involvement across technical specifications, vendor technical interfaces, design calculations, and interdisciplinary coordination in a complex EPC environment. This position will contribute to safe, compliant, and high-quality engineering delivery aligned with recognised codes, standards, and QA procedures.
Required
Education * Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent Required Experience * ***** years of experience in the oil and gas industry or petrochemical projects * Experience supporting detail design and EPC project delivery * Background in preparing and reviewing design calculations for pressure vessels and tanks * Experience reviewing vendor bids, technical clarifications, and technical reports for static equipment packages * Familiarity with risk assessments, design reviews, constructability, and HAZOP activities * Experience coordinating across disciplines to support materials requisitions and technical project specifications * Exposure to scope change management, deviation resolution, disputed technical items,
and change order follow-up Required Skills * Good working knowledge of industry engineering codes and standards together with company QA systems, policies, and procedures * Ability to prepare and review technical specifications and technical documentation for air coolers, heat exchangers, storage tanks, specialist equipment, and filters * Strong capability in interdisciplinary delivery checking and coordination of technical interfaces * Ability to analyse technical and contractual issues and prepare formal technical responses * Effective communication skills with the ability to work openly across multiple engineering disciplines * Strong planning, organisation, problem-solving, and results-focused delivery skills * Good knowledge of English, both written and verbal * Commitment to safety and quality in engineering delivery Preferred Qualifications * Chartered status is preferable About Airswift Airswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
