Our client is a global leader in the development and manufacturing of high-quality additives, compounds, and color masterbatches for the plastics industry.
We are seeking an Independent Sales Consultant in Italy to support the company’s expansion within a strategic agricultural films market segment.
This is a flexible independent consulting opportunity for an experienced plastics industry professional with an established network in Italy. The consultant will collaborate closely with the VP Sales, Regional Director – EMEA, and the commercial team in Italy to support market development and customer engagement activities. The engagement will be structured around a flexible consulting arrangement with compensation aligned with business development outcomes.
Major Responsibilities
- Support the company’s market expansion efforts within the Italian agricultural films sector.
- Leverage existing industry relationships to facilitate introductions and develop new commercial opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with film producers, converters, technical decision makers, and key industry stakeholders.
- Identify customer needs and communicate relevant opportunities to the commercial and technical teams.
- Support the evaluation of potential projects, applications, and target accounts.
- Participate in customer meetings, technical-commercial discussions,
and follow-up activities as required.
- Collaborate with the sales and technical teams to support the development of opportunities from initial contact through project evaluation and commercial discussions.
Requirements
- MUST: Extensive experience in the plastics industry, ideally with exposure to polyolefins, compounds, additives, masterbatches, film applications, or related polymer processing sectors.
- Strong network within the Italian plastics converting and agricultural films market.
- Background in technical sales, business development, product management, application engineering, technical service, or consulting within the plastics industry.
- Ability to engage effectively with both commercial and technical stakeholders.
- Good understanding of film processing technologies and plastics manufacturing environments.
- Professional working proficiency in Italian and English.
- Self-motivated, independent, and comfortable operating in a consulting / project-based environment.
- Availability to travel within Italy as required for customer meetings and industry-related activities.
