The OpportunityWe are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Civil Structures team in Milan and support major rail, metro, highway, bridge, tunnel, and transportation infrastructure projects in Italy and internationally. This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of infrastructure engineering and taking technical ownership of complex,
multidisciplinary commissions that directly contribute to a more sustainable and resilient future for communitiesAs a Senior Structural Engineer at Arup, you will: Lead and deliver structural design packages for complex infrastructure projects, taking technical ownership of allocated scope, including large underground civil structures, shafts, stations, and platforms, and working closely with project managers and technical leads to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Perform advanced structural and numerical analyses, producing calculations, drawings, specifications, and clear technical reports across all design stages (concept, preliminary, detailed design, IFC, and construction support), considering dynamic loads, vibration, fatigue, derailment loads, seismic actions, wind loads, and other infrastructure-specific requirements.
