The team focuses on delivering high-performance and reliable firmware for enterprise and cloud environments, working closely with hardware, validation, and system engineering teams.Position OverviewAs a Firmware Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will build high-performance controller firmware for volatile and non-volatile memory systems. You will support the evaluation, development, testing, debugging, and failure analysis of firmware for next-generation memory controllers and Data Center Solid State Drives (SSD).You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve product development issues, triage failures, and isolate firmware and system-level issues.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, test,
and debug embedded firmware for Data Center SSD controllers and memory systemsAnalyze firmware behavior, troubleshoot failures, and perform root-cause analysisCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve product issuesContribute to firmware validation, integration, and performance optimization activitiesParticipate in code reviews, bug tracking, and continuous improvement of development processesMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experienceExperience or academic background in embedded firmware developmentProgramming experience in Python and familiarity with at least one system-level language (e.g., C/C++)Knowledge of scripting languages, development tools, and debugging environmentsAbility to work in a multi-functional team and manage multiple prioritiesPreferred QualificationsE
