pThe Local Technical Support Engineer is our recognized, trusted technical expert for Italian market. You build a strong and trustful relationship with customer and stakeholders and you offer technical support to customers with a focus on design and Features Benefits to influence purchasing demands. /ppbr / /ppYou work closely within our great local team of Sales, Customer Service in Italy and your Technical Support colleagues in other territories. /ppbr / /ppThe main objectives of the role are: /ppbr / /pulliSpend app. 40% of your time by specifying Viking products and solutions to end-users, engineering bodies and other specifiers /liliProvide level 2 technical support for water, foam, water mist, gas and detection products to Viking EMEA customers and staff /liliProvide technical trainings to contractors, end-users and specifiers /liliEnforce Viking S.A.’s local presence by promoting and presenting Viking products via seminars, lunch learns, exhibition participation and more, /liliOptimizing Viking product solution offerings, in close corporation with Product Managers. /liliContribute to sales growth with the local sales team to reach the local annual sales and margin targets. /li /ulpbr / /ppFurthermore, you will have the following duties: /ppbr / /ppstrongSPECIFICATION /strong /ppbr / /pulliDrive additional products revenue and profit in EMEA through end-users value creation based on /li /ulpViking range, /pulliIncrease Viking EMEA products awareness at end users and other influencers level (insurances, /liliindustry associations, consultants, etc.) via interaction with target peers and solid networking, /liliEstablish, within your local territory, Viking EMEA as “go to” solution provider within the EMEA fire protection industry, improve Viking reputation as a fire safety solution provider, /liliSupport Viking EMEA product portfolio improvements, /liliWork closely with the Leader Products and Solutions Specifying /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongTECHNICAL SALES SUPPORT /strong /ppemProvide technical support to customers, working closely with Sales and Customer Service. /em /ppbr / /pulliDeliver excellent technical guidance to staff, clients and specifiers regarding water, foam and water mist systems, /liliProducing specifications and realizing bill of materials, /liliPrepare system bills of material from tender documents and specifications to assist local offices in quoting, /liliWork with local Sales Representatives to identify new and upcoming project opportunities, /liliProvide on-site support for customers, /liliAssist customers and specifiers in complex projects to identify fire risks and advise systems and products, /liliProvide key advantages of our products compared to competitor products, /liliProvide technical submissions and technical documentation to customers,
/liliWork with sales team to promote Viking to new potential customers, /liliFollow up special projects with customers on a more technical level, EG sprinkler, foam, water mist or gas and detection projects, /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongTRAINING /strong /ppemIdentify, provide and organize trainings and seminars for customers and colleagues. /em /ppbr / /pulliShare knowledge and experience with technical support colleagues, /liliOrganize and provide training and seminars both in-house and at customer locations, /liliTrain and support other LTS and replace in case of need, /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongMARKETING / PROMOTION / NETWORKING /strong /ppemPromote Viking products via trade shows, exhibitions, seminars, associations, networking etc. /em /ppbr / /pulliPreparing for and attending trade shows and exhibitions, /liliNetwork with specifiers to increase awareness and specification of Viking products, /liliPromote and co-ordinate Viking’s participation in local trade associations including assisting with their activities, /liliMaintain develop industry contacts, /liliAttend and take customers to production sites, e.g. taking customers to KCA or gas/detection training in Bad Oldesloe, /liliReview translated documentation for accuracy. /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongPRODUCT MANAGEMENT SUPPORT /strong /ppemContribute to the development of the product categories and new product launches. /em /ppbr / /pulliProvide market information to Product Managers, /liliProvide written specifications in general or individual for projects, /liliWork with the Product Managers on new products launches, /liliSuggest new products and product improvements, /liliAssisting Product Managers with obtaining local approvals and Product launch. /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongSTANDARDS AND APPROVALS /strong /ppemObtain and manage local standards and approvals. /em /ppbr / /pulliDefine and realize local standard solutions (e.g. local regulations, authorizations), /liliIdentify in each country the local approval organizations, procedures and lobbying opportunities and organize the adequate lobbying, /liliParticipate in working groups to help improving local standards. /li /ulpbr / /ppstrongCLAIMS, ADMINISTRATION AND ADDITIONAL TASKS /strong /ppemSupport customers when they have requests. /em /ppbr / /pulliAssist in commissioning, troubleshooting and quality claims if required, /liliSupport sub-contractors where necessary, e.g. on foam tank/testing filling, /liliAssist with inspections of the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction).
/li /ulpbr / /ppIdeally, you are based in Milan area (Viking Italy office is in Milan). The position requires occasional traveling mostly in Italy, but visits may be required to other countries as well.
