ppRINA is currently recruiting for a bJunior Bridge Engineer /b to join its office in bNaples /b within the bCivil Engineering /b Division. /p h3Mission /h3 pThe role focuses on planning, designing, and maintening of bridge structures under the supervision of Senior Engineer. The role involves applying engineering principles to ensure the safety, functionality, and longevity of bridges within infrastructure projects. /p h3Key Accountabilities /h3 h3Bridge Design and Analysis /h3 ul liDesign and analyze bridge structures, considering factors such as load-bearing capacity, materials, and environmental impact; /li liutilize engineering software and tools to model and simulate bridge behavior under different conditions. /li /ul h3Project Planning /h3 ul liCollaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to develop comprehensive plans for bridge projects; /li liprovide input on timelines, resource requirements, and budget considerations. /li /ul h3Regulatory Compliance /h3 ul liEnsure that bridge designs and construction adhere to local, state, and national codes and regulations; /li listay informed about changes in standards and implement updates as necessary. /li /ul h3Structural Assessments /h3 ul liConduct inspections and assessments of existing bridges to evaluate structural integrity and identify maintenance or rehabilitation needs; /li liprovide recommendations for repairs or upgrades based on assessments. /li /ul h3Collaboration and Coordination /h3 ul liWork closely with architects, geotechnical engineers, and construction teams to integrate bridge designs into overall infrastructure projects; /li licoordinate with government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
/li /ul h3Construction Oversight /h3 ul liMonitor construction activities to ensure that bridge construction aligns with approved designs and engineering specifications; /li liaddress any unforeseen issues or challenges that arise during the construction phase. /li /ul h3Documentation and Reporting /h3 ul liMaintain detailed records of design plans, assessments, and construction activities; /li liprepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders, summarizing project progress and outcomes. /li /ul h3Education /h3 pBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering General /p h3Qualifications /h3 ul liPrior internships or co-op experiences in bridge engineering or related fields are beneficial; /li libasic familiarity with structural analysis software such as SAP2000, LARSA, or MIDAS Civil is desirable, with a willingness to learn and develop proficiency; /li liunderstanding of fundamental engineering principles and concepts related to bridge design, including load analysis, materials properties, and basic environmental considerations; /li lieagerness to learn and apply relevant design codes and standards, such as AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and local building codes, under the guidance of senior engineers. /li /ul h3Competencies /h3 ul liWORKPLACE DYNAMICS - Resourcefulness in shaping progress and working efficiently. /li liPERSONAL EMPOWERMENT - Ownership for life, work and results,

The gross annual salary range foreseen is between b€30,000 and €39,000 /b and will be finally defined on candidate’s professional experience, qualifications, competencies and overall alignment with the role. In addition, an annual variable compensation component is provided, based on both Company and individual performance objectives in accordance with the current policies and collective agreements.
