Position Summary

Our rapidly growing Medical Robotics and Imaging division is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer (FSE) to provide technical expertise and regional operational support across EMEA. This role combines hands-on field service responsibilities with coordination, technical leadership, team support, and oversight of assigned field service activities.

The FSE will be responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and ongoing support of complex medical robotics and imaging systems. The role will ensure the highest standards of quality, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and service delivery, while supporting consistency and operational excellence across the wider field service team.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, solutions-focused professional who is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment while also providing technical guidance, mentoring, and support to colleagues.

This position operates under a flexible working model, providing schedule flexibility while guaranteeing a 40-hour working week.

Key Responsibilities

- Act as a technical subject matter expert, providing regional operational support to Field Service Management while maintaining a strong hands-on field service presence.
- Coordinate FSE scheduling, workload allocation, and resource planning across the assigned region.
- Provide technical and administrative support for assigned work orders and field service activities.
- Act as a quality control point of contact for field tools, processes, documentation, and service execution.
- Support the onboarding, development, and continuous technical development of field service personnel.
- Maintain assigned field service equipment, tools,



spare parts, and inventory to ensure operational readiness.
- Lead and support project coordination, including system installations, upgrades, deployments, and complex escalations.
- Deliver and support technical training initiatives for Field Service Engineers.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to effectively plan and execute service activities.
- Diagnose and resolve complex electromechanical, imaging, and system-related issues, restoring equipment to full operational status as efficiently as possible.
- Ensure all service activities, customer complaints, repairs, and customer feedback are accurately and promptly documented in accordance with company procedures.
- Respond to customer issues and escalations with urgency, professionalism, and a strong customer-focused approach.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve service processes, documentation, operational efficiency, and field performance.
- Support the Field Service Management team with regional operational activities and projects as required.
- Travel domestically and internationally across EMEA as required.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- Equivalent relevant technical experience will also be considered.

Experience

- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Field Service Engineer within a technical service environment.
- Experience within the medical device industry strongly preferred, particularly in medical robotics, imaging, X-ray, or other complex medical equipment.




- Demonstrable experience troubleshooting complex electromechanical and/or imaging systems.
- Previous experience providing technical leadership, mentoring, training, or supervisory support is strongly preferred.
- Experience working within hospital or healthcare environments is highly desirable.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Strong understanding of healthcare environments, including Biomedical Engineering, Radiology, Clinical Services, and hospital operations.
- Working knowledge of EMEA healthcare, radiology, hospital regulations, and applicable quality systems.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across complex electromechanical and imaging systems.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a flexible, self-directed working environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence engaging with customers, clinical teams, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to manage challenging situations and escalations professionally.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider regional team.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to make practical, business-aligned decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant service management/documentation systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate service documentation and compliance.

Additional Requirements

- Willingness and ability to travel at short notice across the assigned EMEA geography.
- High mobility and easy access to EMEA countries is essential due to the regional nature of the role.
- Ability to maintain hospital credentialing, site access, and vendor compliance requirements.
- Ability to work flexible hours in line with customer and business requirements.
- Ability to lift and handle equipment weighing up to 50 lbs (approximately 23 kg).
- Valid driving licence and ability to travel independently within the assigned territory.
- Fluent in English

Starting salary EUR 40,000 per annual plus benefits and premio.
