The Account
Manager (to be hired with Fixed-Term contract) is responsible for maintaining and managing a specific territory of key accounts by providing advanced service and technical support to customers. This position reports to the District Sales Manager and is part of the Phenomenex Italian team working remotely to cover customers in the Northern part of Italy. Coordinate customer visits to provide technical information, product demonstration and/or technical seminar.
Attend local vendor shows and company sponsored trade shows Build account relationships beyond the buying level to ensure involvement of key decision makers with new and existing customers Ensure that assigned territory meets sales, gross profit, and unit goals Work together with the Sales Manager to develop business plans, and sales strategies for key accounts Collaborate with cross-functionals teams and act as a resource for colleagues which may include coaching, mentoring, and training Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry,
Biology or other related Science required Ability to analyze, facilitate dialogue across a group or team, communicate difficult concepts and negotiate with others to adopt a new or different point of view. Ability to strategically plan, organize, and allocate resources to meet the needs of the business Advanced knowledge of sales principles and methods of negotiation, and demonstrated advanced capability to identify business opportunities Good knowledge of Chromatography (with at least two years of experience in laboratory or scientific products sales) Strong communication skills in Italian and English Willingness and ability to travel (10% -20% over night) based on the needs of the territory Must have a valid driver's license A proven track record of success in Sales/Customer Service type roles Experience in customer relationship management software Experience in the (bio)pharma and Pharma market knowledge This role is classified under the applicable CCNL Commercio as third-level employee, which defines minimum terms, job classification, and baseline progression frameworks. The expected gross annual salary range for this role is €40.000–€57.000, determined based on objective criteria such as experience, skills, and role-related competencies.
Premio / Incentive Pay This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. This job is also eligible for a company car and an home office allowance.
