Role Description The Freelance Camera Operator will support live motorsports event coverage on-site in Paris. This contract role involves setting up and operating cameras, collaborating with the production team, and ensuring high-quality video capture throughout events. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and positioning cameras, adjusting lighting and angles, monitoring equipment performance, and responding quickly to direction from TV and video production staff.
The Camera
Operator will also help maintain and troubleshoot camera systems, adhere to safety protocols around the track, and contribute to smooth, reliable live broadcasts.
Qualifications
- Strong camera operation skills, including experience with professional Camera equipment
- Knowledge of Lighting principles and practical on-site lighting adjustment
- Hands-on experience in Video Production for live or recorded events
- Understanding of TV Production workflows and collaboration with production crews
- Experience with motorsports or other fast-paced live event environments is an advantage
- Ability to work on-site in Paris, including weekends and irregular hours as required by events
- Attention to detail, reliability under pressure, and clear communication with team members
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills and familiarity with broadcast or streaming setups
