Embedded Firmware Engineer – Medical & Industrial Automation
Location: Milano Nord, Italy
On-site: 2–4 days per week, depending on project
Seniority: Senior preferred
We’re looking for Embedded Firmware Engineers to join exciting projects for clients across the medical technology and industrial automation sectors .
You’ll work on the development and maintenance of embedded firmware for STM32-based platforms , using C and FreeRTOS to build, test and troubleshoot reliable embedded solutions.
These are hands-on engineering roles offering the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects within collaborative, international teams.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware for STM32 platforms
- Program in C using FreeRTOS
- Debug, test and troubleshoot embedded software
- Investigate technical issues and develop effective solutions
- Work autonomously across firmware development activities
- Collaborate with the wider engineering team
- Contribute to the delivery of robust, reliable embedded solutions
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience in embedded firmware development
- Solid hands-on experience with C, STM32 and FreeRTOS
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy
- Good English communication skills
The projects Depending on your experience and interests, you could work on projects within:
- ? Medical technology – embedded firmware for products and systems where reliability and quality are critical
- ? Industrial automation – embedded software supporting industrial systems, automation and connected technologies
Location & working model Both opportunities are based in Milano Nord :
- Medical project: 4 days per week on-site
- Industrial automation project: 2 days per week on-site
