Your role – Are you ready for a challenge?

Operating as a critical component of our second line of defense, you will provide independent oversight and objective challenge. You will lead the management of regulatory compliance and AML/CTF risks, ensuring all operations align with the letter and spirit of relevant laws, regulations, and market standards.

Your Responsibilities Will Be As Follows

- Customer Due Diligence (CDD) on clients during onboarding stage and throughout the contract lifecycle;
- SARs/STRs duties and responsibilities: investigate anomalous behaviours, gather supporting documentation, and file Suspicious Activity/Transaction Reports directly with the Italian FIU;
- Production of required regulatory reports (including risk self-assessment for IVASS/SARA, etc.) and draft ad hoc internal compliance reports for senior management;
- Management of the relationships with the Regulator, including handling on-site inspections and routine correspondence;




- Research and interpretation of new Italian and EU AML/CTF legislation, including keeping track of IVASS/Banca d’Italia communications and guidance to the industry. Provision of guidance and recommendations to the business. Liaise with senior management on regulatory matters;
- Development, implementation, on-going update and review of internal regulatory compliance policies and procedures in accordance with domestic and EU regulations, in cooperation with the Head Office Compliance function;
- Compliance Monitoring Programme (CMP) checks on the business activities; periodic review of the programme in light of the most recent legal/regulatory changes and implementation of necessary developments in internal control mechanisms and processes;
- Ongoing engagement and cooperation with the Head Office to deliver daily activities and tasks, as well as to share any relevant regulatory changes impacting the business.

Your profile – Have you got what it takes to become our Compliance Specialist?
- Master’s degree in Economics, Law or a related discipline, ideally with a focus on Compliance, Internal Controls, Risk Management or similar fields;
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Compliance related function, preferably in the insurance/banking sector;

- Strong knowledge of Italian and EU AML laws and regulations;
- Good command of MS Office applications;
- Well- organised and flexible approach, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage daily tasks independently;
- High attention to detail and a rigorous approach to work, ensuring accuracy,



consistency and compliance with high-quality standards;
- Able to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks and priorities and meeting tight deadlines;
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to assess complex situations and identify effective, data-driven solutions;
- Collaborative and proactive team player;
- Native Italian speaker, with fluency in English is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

- Professional certifications (CAMS, AMLCERT etc)
- Experience in regulatory reporting and/or familiarity with Luxembourg AML regulations;
- Good experience with Bank of Italy's Infostat platform.
