Montessori School of Rome is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dependable Lower Elementary Assistant Guide to support a thriving classroom community and help students develop independence, curiosity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.
What You'll Do
- Support the Lead Guide in implementing Montessori lessons and maintaining a prepared learning environment.
- Build positive, respectful relationships with students and guide them with patience, consistency, and encouragement.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom that fosters independence and collaboration.
- Assist students as they work independently and in small groups while encouraging responsibility and problem-solving.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support each student's academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Assist with classroom routines,
materials preparation, record keeping, and daily operations.
- Supervise students during transitions, outdoor play, lunch, and other school activities as needed.
- Attend staff meetings, parent meetings, and professional development opportunities as requested.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.
