Job DescriptionProvide leadership support and direction, during primetime hours (3p-7p M-F; 11a-7p Sat/Sun) to drive sales and enhance the customer experience. and locate productsInform customers of produce specials and offer product samples to help customers discover new itemsEnsure merchandising standards are being followed; review/inspect productsfor quality and freshness and take appropriate actionCreate and execute sales promotions in partnership with store managementInform and educate department associates about current, upcoming and special in-store promotions, especially promotions that affect the departmentEnsure in-stock behaviors are being executed dailyImplement the period promotional plan for the departmentEnsure hourly conditioning is taking place so products are kept fresh and displays are cleanMake certain that backroom and prep areas are clean and 5s practices are being executedEnsure a good close is being executed in order to achieve morning readinessPlan and organize the inventory process, maintain an awareness of inventory/stocking conditions, note any discrepancies, train department associates on inventory/stocking and Computer Assisted Ordering (CAO)Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintainedReinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, practicing preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment, notifying store management of any items in need of repair and of customer or employee accidentsReport all safety risk, or issues, and illegal activity, including robbery, theft or fraudAdhere to all local, state and federal laws, and company guidelineMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationQualificationsMinimumExcellent oral/written communication skillsAbility to handle stressful situationsKnowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction)DesiredHigh School Diploma or GEDAny produce or retail experienceAny management experienceSecond language (speaking, reading and/or writing)#J-18808-Ljbffr
