ppWhen a command conference starts, the video either works or it does not, and someone has already made sure it does. That is this role. You would sit inside the operational support team of a communications unit in Sicily, looking after audio and video services end to end: setting them up, configuring them, keeping them ready, and putting them back together after an exercise. /p pThe work is practical and varied - senior-level video teleconferencing one day, voice equipment and line patching the next, and the preparation, deployment and recovery of kit around exercises and operational activity throughout. /p h3What you would be doing /h3 ul liPrepare, configure and deploy audio and video equipment, and keep it aligned with the approved baseline configurations. /li liSet up and manage video teleconferencing, including senior and command-level sessions. /li liInstall and configure voice equipment over both ordinary and secure networks. /li liSet up and tear down projectors and sound equipment. /li liCarry out approved endpoint updates and physical line patching to the defined procedures and schedule. /li liHandle incidents and service requests promptly and accurately. /li liPrepare, deploy and recover equipment in support of exercises and operational activity. /li liKeep complete, accurate and auditable records of everything performed and delivered.
/li liSupport other communications service areas within the unit where the work touches endpoint services. /li /ul h3What you would bring /h3 ul liAt least two years hands-on designing, implementing and maintaining core network architecture for large organisations. /li liPractical experience with video teleconferencing technologies. /li liA sound practical understanding of voice over IP and of IP addressing. /li liComfortable logging and tracking your own work in a service-desk tool. /li liComfort in a structured environment - procedures, processes, checklists and instructions. /li liA basic grasp of IT security practice: password handling, access control, safe use of devices. /li liThe ability to follow and improve documented procedures, and to prioritise when several things break at once. /li liGood communication with users and colleagues, and accurate record-keeping. /li liWillingness to work on site and, when a project or transition needs it, for extended hours. /li liFluent professional English, around CEFR B2 to C1. /li /ul pExperience in NATO environments, knowledge of ITIL practice, end-user IT support in an enterprise or operational setting, and good working knowledge of Windows and basic networking are all desirable. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
