Mission

the senior marine surveyor applies expertise in maritime rules, regulations and industry principles to ensure accurate, high-quality surveying processes.

Key accountabilities

- provide subject‑matter expertise on classification principles, regulatory frameworks and industry standards
- monitor developments and recommend improvements
- conduct detailed surveys and inspections of classed ships, offshore installations and marine assets, verifying compliance with classification society rules and statutory requirements
- prepare precise reports and certificates that meet organisational and regulatory standards
- plan, schedule and oversee surveying activities, optimise resources and mentor junior surveyors
- build and maintain client relationships, offering expert consultation and resolving technical issues




- implement rigorous quality‑assurance measures and uphold the highest ethical standards

Education & qualifications
- master’s degree in naval engineering
- minimum 3 years as a surveyor or 6 years in engineering/inspection with an iacs member classification society
- proficiency in english
- knowledge xysqume of rina rules, classification statutes, shipbuilding practices and ship operations
- ability to perform new‑building and in‑service surveys, issue certificates and reports, and conduct audits of marine management systems

Compensation
- gross annual salary €45 000 – €55 000, plus variable annual compensation and company welfare benefits
