Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates engineering work for the assigned project; ensures compliance with current regulations, practices, and accepted engineering standards; ensures effective communication and coordination among all disciplines and other project participants. /ppCarries out design activities, development of heat exchangers and/or accessories based on contract requirements and product specifications. Performs feasibility studies with technical proposals, analysis, design, prototyping. Contributes to the improvement of team and company processes. /ph3Main Activities /h3pPlanning and forecasting engineering project activities /ppCoordination and verification of engineering deliverables /ppContinuous reporting on project status and order changes /ppEvaluation of contract requirements (as relevant)
/ppEvaluation of product specifications /ppTransforming requirements into project outputs (calculations, dimensions, tolerances, material selection) /ppInterpretation of construction drawings /ppSizing of plant components and the overall system /ppDrafting final and executive project documentation /ppExecution of study drawings and construction details /ppDrafting material purchase specifications, calculations, and IOM manuals /ppManaging deadlines for project document submissions /ppApproval of RDA /ppTechnical meetings with clients and suppliers of critical materials /ppPreparation of documentation for ASME/PED /ph3Required Skills /h3pDegree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience /ppAt least 5 years of experience in mechanical design of heat exchangers /ppBasic knowledge of project management techniques /ppExperience with 2D and 3D CAD software (preferably Autocad, Inventor) /ppExperience with finite element calculation modules (preferred) /pp"At Alfa Laval, we carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors to determine your total compensation package.
