RISC-V è un attuale ISA con un ecosistema hardware e software dinamico, che ha alimentato l’ascesa delle community di open hardware e ha permesso all’industria e al mondo accademico di collaborare su CPU e SoC su una scala senza precedenti.
Questa tesi svilupperà componenti personalizzati e sfrutterà le IP di terze parti della community RISC-V nella costruzione di una piattaforma soft-SoC basata su FPGA per ricerca e sviluppo.

Ingegneria Informatica, Elettronica, dell’Automazione, delle Telecomunicazioni o corsi affini.
Conoscenza delle architetture di calcolatori e SoC
Familiarità con linguaggi hardware Descrizione (VHDL e/o Verilog)
Familiarità con tecnologie FPGA (AMD Xilinx, Intel Altera, Microchip, Lattice)

RISC-V is a modern ISA with a vibrant hardware and software ecosystem,



that has fueled the rise of open hardware communities and enabled industry and academia to collaborate on CPUs and SoCs at an unprecedented scale.

This thesis will develop of custom components and leverage the community’s third-party IPs in the construction of a FPGA-based soft-SoC platform for research and development.

Computer engineering, electronic engineering, telecommunication engineering or similar
Knowledge of computer and SoC architectures

Familiarity with FPGA technologies (AMD Xilinx, Intel Altera, Microchip, Lattice)
