ph3Essential Duties and Responsibilities /h3pinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned. /pulliProvide oral examinations and patient charting. /liliProvide periodontal probing and charting. /liliProvide scaling, root-planning, soft tissue curettage. /liliPlacement and removal of periodontal packs. /liliProvide oral health instruction and dietary analysis. /liliOther duties as may be required during the performance of initial and recall exams. /liliProvide routine blood pressure screenings. /liliMaintain medical history update. /liliParticipate in health fairs or classroom education as required. /liliResponsible for inventory and assisting in the ordering of dental health promotion items. /liliPerform other related duties. /li /ulh3Qualifications Requirements /h3pCurrently licensed to practice dental hygiene in Missouri. Must be CPR certified or become certified during probationary period and maintain certification throughout employment with COMC. /ph3Education and/or experience /h3pMust have GED or be a graduate from high school and an approved school of Dental Hygiene. /ph3Language Skills /h3pAbility to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Ability to effectively present information to the supporting Dentist. /ph3Mathematical Skills /h3pKnowledge of fundamental math, adding machine,
calculator, and Microsoft office. /ph3Reasoning Ability /h3pAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. /ph3Other Skills and Abilities /h3pExcellent customer service skills. /ph3Physical Demands /h3pThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This includes moderate physical effort consisting of occasionally lifting or moving over 50 pounds of weight. /ph3Travel Requirement /h3pTo fulfill the responsibility of the position travel to all COMC locations may be required. Employee must have valid Missouri driver’s license and availability of a motor vehicle. Overnight travel may also be required in specific incidences of training, conferences, etc. /ph3Work Environment /h3pThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Knowledge of, and compliance with, HIPAA and 340B regulations is required.
