And that’s where you come in.Job Description:Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivatedControl Center System Engineer. The successful candidate will have solid experience in the rail industry, managing wayside installation design and routing cables along the track and within technical rooms. This position is based in Italy.Accountabilities Work Package ManagementSupport the management of the full lifecycle of the OCC Work Package from design to commissioningSupport or manage the planning, and deliverables in line with project milestonesMonitor progress, costs, and resource allocationReport status, risks, and performance to the WPL, to the Project Engineer and to the Project Manager.Contribute to the coordination of engineering activities related to OCC systems, including: System integration and external interfaces; oversee system architecture, configuration, and validationSupport to ensure proper integration and standardization of all the different technologies in the Control Center like: Signalling systems, SCADA, Telecommunications (GSM-R / FRMCS, Power supply and trackside equipmentPartecipate to the analysis and management of system and contractual requirementsSupport the Requirements Management Process for the Integrated OCC (requirements identification, allocation, traceability, etc.)
making sure the requirements are development up to the final validationSupport RAMS activities and safety case contributionsSupport to traceability between requirements, design, and validationSupport on-site commissioning and entry-into-service phasesEnsure readiness and quality of deliverables for customer acceptanceSupport the WPL in the role of primary point of contact for OCC-related topics towards the customerInterface with internal departments (Engineering, V&V;, Installation, Safety, RAMS)Required Skills/ KnowledgeKnowledge of system integration and interface management Operation Control Center and Traffic Management Systems Team coordination capabilitiesProblem-solving in complex and safety-critical environmentsEffective communication and stakeholder managementResults-oriented with delivery focusEducation/QualificationsDegree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Automation, Computer Science, or Transport Engineering).Languages Fluent EnglishItalian or other languages considered a plus.Alla posizione si applica il vigente CCNL per l’industria metalmeccanica privata e l’installazione di impianti, con inquadramento nel livello B2, ai sensi della relativa disciplina di classificazione del personale.Retribuzione annua lorda compresa tra: 36.000- 46.000.#LI-MP94Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
