ph3SoTalent Pavia, Italy /h3 h3Technical Service Representative – Aluminium Coatings /h3 pA leading company in the aluminium manufacturing and processing sector is seeking an experienced Technical Service Representative to support customer technical requirements, product development, quality improvement, and innovation.
/p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead the development, negotiation, and ongoing management of customer technical specifications.
/li liSupport product development, qualification, validation, and continuous improvement, including metallurgical characteristics, coating systems, and surface properties.
/li liAct as the primary technical contact for customers regarding product performance, quality, and technical requirements.
/li liLead technical projects and product improvement initiatives, translating market trends, customer feedback, and commercial opportunities into innovative solutions.
/li liEnsure consistent product performance across different metal supply sources.
/li liCoordinate the qualification and monitoring of coating systems, paint suppliers, and chemical products, ensuring regulatory compliance, sustainability, and supply continuity.
/li liCollaborate closely with Operations, Quality, RD, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to understand and meet customer expectations.
/li liLead quality issue resolution, including customer complaints, Root Cause Analysis, 8D investigations, and implementation of sustainable corrective actions.
/li liSupport Master Data Management and related technical and administrative activities for customers and products.
/li liIdentify and develop new business opportunities through technical innovation and strategic customer engagement.
/li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liMaster's degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related technical/scientific discipline.
/li liAt least 5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably involving continuous production processes.
/li liPrevious experience in a customer-facing technical, product development, quality, or process engineering role.
/li liStrong knowledge of coil coating and coating technologies, including painting processes, surface treatments, and coating systems.
/li liIn-depth understanding of aluminium metallurgy and related manufacturing processes.
/li liFamiliarity with quality management methodologies, including Root Cause Analysis and 8D.
/li liNative-level Italian and excellent English communication skills.
/li liStrong collaboration, problem-solving, and customer-orientation skills.
