ppWe are looking for a bSenior Logistics Operations Manager /b to lead our Italian operations and drive performance, quality and profitability across bMilan, Bologna and Rome /b.
/p pYou will own the operational KPIs and service quality, lead multi-city teams (controllers, HR/people support and local operations staff), manage the bPL and budget /b, and represent the company in bweekly client meetings /b for key accounts.
/p pThe ideal candidate has solid experience running logistics operations in Italy, is confident with numbers, and is very strong in Excel and data-driven decision-making.
/p h3Key Responsibilities /h3 h3Operational performance quality /h3 ul liOwn the operational metrics (on-time performance, delivery success, quality, productivity, safety) across Milan, Bologna and Rome.
/li liEnsure processes and SOPs are correctly implemented and followed at station/city level.
/li liRun regular performance reviews with local teams and implement corrective action plans where needed.
/li liEnsure consistent service quality across all cities, aligned with client SLAs.
/li /ul h3Team leadership organisation /h3 ul liLead and coach local teams, including controllers, HR/people support and city operations leads.
/li liSet clear goals, monitor performance, and support the development of key team members.
/li liFoster a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
/li /ul h3Client relationship management /h3 ul liHold weekly operational meetings with key clients, presenting KPIs, root-cause analysis and action plans.
/li liAct as main operational escalation point for Italian operations.
/li liWork closely with clients on ramp-ups, peak planning and new initiatives.
/li /ul h3PL, budget financial control /h3 ul liOwn the operations PL for Italy: revenue, variable and fixed costs.
/li liPrepare and manage budgets and forecasts together with the Country Manager and Finance Controller.
/li liMonitor margins and unit costs; implement cost-optimisation initiatives without compromising quality.
/li liEnsure accurate monthly reporting and explanation of variances vs budget/forecast.
/li /ul h3Cross-functional collaboration /h3 ul liWork closely with the Finance Controller on reporting, accruals, and financial analysis.
/li liCoordinate with HR on workforce planning, hiring needs and people issues.
/li liCollaborate with Fleet, IT and other support functions to ensure operations run smoothly.
/li /ul h3Data, reporting continuous improvement /h3 ul liUse Excel and data to analyse performance, identify trends and drive decisions.
/li liBuild and maintain operational dashboards and standard reports.
/li liLead continuous improvement projects to increase productivity, reduce waste and improve service.
/li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul li5+ years' experience in logistics operations in Italy (last-mile, parcel, e-commerce or similar).
/li liProven experience managing PL and budgets for an operations function.
/li liVery strong numerical skills and a data-driven mindset.
/li liAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic modelling, data analysis).
/li liExperience leading multi-site or multi-city operations teams.
/li liComfortable running client-facing meetings and presenting KPIs/action plans.
/li liStrong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise under pressure.
/li liFluent English (spoken and written).
Italian is strongly preferred due to the nature of the role.
/li liWillingness to travel regularly between Milan, Bologna and Rome (and between Barcelona/London For Board Meetings).

/li liBackground in fast-growing or scale-up environments.
/li liExperience with BI/reporting tools in addition to Excel.
